Will Ospreay Slays Dragon Lee To Win IWGP Jr Heavyweight Title At NJPW Dominion; Challenges Robbie Eagles
Will Ospreay is back atop the juniors mountain.
Days after winning Best of Super Juniors 2019, Will Ospreay captured the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title from Dragon Lee at NJPW Dominion. The match was a high-paced affair with Ospreay having a counter for nearly everything Lee had up his sleeve. In the end, Ospreay put Lee away with the triple combo of the Hidden Blade, Super Oscutter, and Storm Breaker, the same combo he used to defeat Shingo to win Best of Super Juniors.
Ospreay is now a three-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion. Dragon Lee managed one successful title defense during his reign, which began on Apr. 6 at NJPW-ROH G1 Supercard.
