Wilford Brimley Passes Away At 85; Says Wrestling Name Could’ve Been ‘Under Quaker’ In Final Tweet

Wilford Brimley, the former actor who became the face of diabetes awareness, has sadly passed away and in his last tweet, he revealed some fun hypothetical names have you ever become a professional wrestler.

Wilford Brimley died on August 1, 2020, at the age of 85. The man known for raising awareness of diabetes and letting people know that they needed to check their blood sugar often, had been in the ICU of St. Georgia, Utah where he was getting treated for medical problems and was on dialysis.

Throughout the years, Brimley was also known for appearing in commercials for Quaker Oats, movie roles in “Cocoon” and “The Thing,” and TV roles in “The Waltons,” “Seinfeld,” and “Walker, Texas Ranger.”

In his last tweet, Brimley revealed three of his favorite choices after asking fans a few days beforehand what his professional wrestler named would have been. Specifically, Brimley enjoyed the names “Under Quaker,” “Brim-Stone,” “Killford Brimley” and “The Die-A-Beastus,” before finishing the tweet off with the playful hashtag, “#WilfordWrestlingEntertainment.”

Brimley is survived by his wife and three sons.
