ROH Pure Title Match, ROH 6-Man Tag Title Bout, And Von Erichs’ ROH Debuts Added To ROH Final Battle

Wheeler Yuta has a Pure Title defense against a “Filthy” challenger and The Mogul Embassy will also defend their gold.

Tony Khan announced on Twitter on December 14 that Wheeler Yuta will defend the Ring of Honor Pure Championship against “Filthy” Tom Lawlor at ROH Final Battle 2023.

Wheeler most recently picked up a victory on the December 14 ROH on HonorClub, establishing dominance over Jason Geiger.

Yuta picked up the championship from Katsuyori Shibata on the November 25 episode of AEW Rampage, low-blowing “The Wrestler” in order to gain the advantage that would lead him to victory.

Later it was also announced that there would be a Ring of Honor World Six-Man Tag Team Title bout as The Mogul Embassy’s Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona, and Brian Cage defend against the TMDK trio of Shane Haste, Bad Dude Tito, and Kosei Fujita.

Even later in the evening on December 14, it was announced that Ross and Marshall Von Erich, with Kevin Von Erich in their corner, would make their Ring of Honor debuts against Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum, The Outrunners.

This match will take place on the Zero Hour prior to the event, which begins at 7:00 p.m ET on all social platforms.

The Von Erich family is hugely associated with Texas wrestling. The upcoming A24 film “The Iron Claw” features Zac Efron portraying Kevin Von Erich and covers the triumphs and tragedies of the Von Erich family.

The next generation of Von Erichs looks to make a huge splash in their Ring of Honor debuts. However, they will also be able to “pull a Rick Rude” as they are also scheduled to team with Orange Cassidy on the December 15 episode of AEW Rampage which was pre-taped on December 13.
