Wheeler Yuta: Daniel Garcia & I Are Such Good Foils Against One Another, It’s Really Fun

Wheeler Yuta discusses his long time feud with Daniel Garcia.

Fight forever is a term that is used frequently within the world of wrestling, although some wrestlers do end up taking it literally. That is the case for Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia, as the two have wrestled for over 100 minutes across four different singles matches since August 2021.Addiotinally, the two have also been opponents in high stakes matches like the Blood & Guts match from June 2022.

While appearing on the latest edition of The Sessions with Renee Paquette, Yuta was asked about match with Garcia that took place at the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view last July, which is a match that many fans consider to be Yuta and Garcia’s best.

“Yeah, I really enjoyed that match. Anytime I get to get in there with Garcia, I think that we’re very similar wrestlers. There’s two ways you can have a very good match, it’s either that you’re very similar or you’re so far different that it’s unique in that way. But I think that we are just so very similar. The first time we wrestled, it was on the independents. I got there an hour before the show and then we wrestled for an hour. We’re just such good foils against one another that it’s really fun. At the same time, it’s fun to have to come up with creative stuff because it was the fourth time we wrestled so it’s like, how can we make it different? How can we have a slightly different match than we had before but still give the fans all of the things that they’ve wanted? Being able to have that match was really fun and it was awesome to do it on such a big stage. Being able to have these matches on Pay-Per-View or on Dynamite has been awesome. I think that he and I thought we’d be able to do it one day, but I don’t think we thought it would be so soon.”
