Wheatley Vodka Named ‘Official Vodka of WrestleMania 40’ As WWE Secures First Spirits Sponsorship
WWE has signed its first Spirit sponsorship as Sazerac Brands’ Wheatley Vodka is said to become the official vodka of WrestleMania 40.
Sports Business Journal first reported the news. Wheatley will also serve as the presenting sponsor for a yet-to-be-announced six-part multimedia series on WWE social platforms that will feature Cody Rhodes interviewing other WWE talents. A Wheately-branded tour bus will appear in the series.
Last year, WWE had its Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania sponsored by Mike’s Hard Lemonade. Mike’s Hard Lemonade is set to return as a sponsor of this year’s SummerSlam.
WWE is also on the lookout for an official beer partner for the longstanding brand.
“Our strategy now at TKO is to open up new categories and sign bigger, broader deals,” said Grant Norris-Jones, EVP and head of global partnerships at TKO. “We’re out in the market looking hard for an official beer partner [for WWE].”
Fightful will provide more information on this deal as more information is available.
