WALTER Ends Pete Dunne’s 685-Day Reign As WWE UK Champion At NXT TakeOver: New York

The reign of “The Bruiserweight” has come to an end.

In the third match of NXT TakeOver: New York, Pete Dunne put his WWE United Kingdom Championship on the line against WALTER and in the end, it was the Austrian big man WALTER pinning the champion and ending Dunne’s 685-day reign as WWE U.K. Champion.

Both Dunne and WALTER took the fight to one another for 15+ minutes and it was filled with chops and using joint minipulation to slow down one another.

It was at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool that WALTER arrived to NXT UK and alerted Dunne that his days as WWE United Kingdom Champion were numbered and just three months later at TakeOver: New York, WALTER followed up on his word and is now the new WWE United Kingdom Champion on top of being the current PROGRESS World Champion.
