Vincent: It Would Have Been Cool To Bring The Righteous To IMPACT, We Just Scratched The Surface

Vincent is in the spotlight in IMPACT Wrestling. But in hindsight, he says it would have been cool to have his previous stable come to the company.

As a member of Honor No More, Vincent has been is in the spotlight since he arrived in IMPACT Wrestling. But in hindsight, he says he would have liked to have his previous stable come to the company.

Honor No More, a group full of former Ring of Honor stars, debuted at IMPACT Hard To Kill in January. Since then, the group has been one of the top acts on IMPACT programming.

Likewise, for the last two years of Vincent’s run in ROH, he was featured as the leader of The Righteous, which also included Bateman, Vita VonStarr, and Dutch. The trio captured the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship at ROH Final Battle 2021 and lost the gold at Death Before Dishonor in July.

In an interview with Steve Fall of SEScoops, Vincent was asked whether he wanted to debut in IMPACT by himself or with a group. In response, he described how he wished he could have continued his run with The Righteous because they had just scratched the surface of its potential in ROH. He noted that the company’s hiatus nixed these plans and stated that it would have been cool to bring the stable to IMPACT.

“I mean, if I’m being completely honest with you, I loved The Righteous. The thing we were doing, myself, Bateman, and Dutch, I wish that could have continued longer because it was gonna be pretty awesome. We were going to do a whole thing with Jay Lethal where Jay Lethal joins the group and there’s this whole kind of wild thing moving forward. We just started getting into that. I don’t know if you even watched the tail end of [that era of] Ring of Honor, but we had just started to get into that. At Final Battle, the last Final Battle, it was supposed to be myself versus Jay Lethal, which starts the story. But obviously we got the news before that, so everything kinda changed. There was no point in doing it at that point. I mean, at the end of the day, it would be cool to have went in there as The Righteous into IMPACT because I do think that specific vision hasn’t scratched the surface of what it could be, you know what I mean? I think it would be very interesting there,” he said.

Vincent also emphasized that, at the end of the day, everything worked out, and he’s grateful for the opportunities he has received in IMPACT.

Alongside Honor No More, Vincent emerged victorious in a heated clash with Bullet Club at IMPACT Emergence. More information is available here.
