Viewership Drops For The Fourth Episode Of ‘Heels’ On Starz, Rerun Viewership Information Tallied

Viewership is in for the fourth episode of ‘Heels.’

On Sunday, September 5, 2021, Starz aired the fourth episode of a new series called ‘Heels.’ The show stars former ‘Arrow’ star, Stephen Amell, in a dramatic series that follows two brothers and the local drama surrounding a small-time independent league.

Episode 3 is noteworthy because it is the on-screen debut of CM Punk’s character, Ricky Rabies.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports that the second episode drew 79,000 viewers, down from the 98,000 viewers for their first episode. In the 18-49 ratings demographic, the show was down also as Thurston notes that the September 5, episode was watched by 24,000 people.

Thurston also shared the following information regarding viewership rerun trends:

We have aggregated viewing data on Starz for the program, indicating that when including viewing across rerun airings and DVR viewing, that the first episode was watched by an aggregate total of 644,000 viewers. That’s five times more than the live and same-day viewing of the premiere episode, which was 128,000. This does not include any streaming viewing.

When it counted for reruns, the second episode was viewed by an aggregate total of 507,000 viewers. The third episode was viewed by a total of 374,000 people, and the fourth episode, across three total airings, was viewed by a total of 191,000 people. 

During a recent Q&A session, CM Punk revealed that Ricky Rabies, his character in “Heels” is heavily influenced by many wrestling legends, with perhaps the most influence coming from Tracy Smothers. Learn more here.
