After the tragic passing of Eddie Guerrero in 2005, Vickie Guerrero, Eddie’s widow, would go on to have a fulfilling career in the WWE herself from 2006 to 2014. In that time, she became one of the most despised heels in the history of wrestling and is one of the most well-known characters from the era most commonly associated with John Cena at the helm.
While Vickie was a character on-screen, Eddie Guerrero continued to live on through action figures, video games & More. In a new series of tweets, Vickie Guerrero explains that WWE has owned Eddie Guerrero’s name image and likeness since 2006 and also goes on the credit WWE for being very helpful in the time following Eddie Guerrero’s passing.
Since 2006, @wwe & myself came to the agreement of @wwe owning the rights to Eddie’s image, name, and likeness! Vince was my saving grace from lawsuits with Eddie’s ex, debt, and other legalities to be settled! More details to come in my autobiography, out soon!
