Vickie Guerrero Claims There Was Jealousy From Other WWE Stars Because Of How Much TV Time She Got

Vickie Guerrero talks about her experience backstage in WWE.

Vickie Guerrero wore many hats during her time in WWE as she was the General Manager of both RAW and SmackDown along wth managing the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Edge, Michelle McCool and Layla. Vickie was on WWE TV often during her time in the sports-entertainment company and sometimes that was not to the liking of her fellow employees. Guerrero joined the ‘Prime Time With Sean Mooney’ podcast and discussed a number of topics including the passing of Eddie Guerrero, some of her fondest moments in WWE and during the conversation Vickie talked about how she was regularly featured on WWE programming and there being a lot of animosity between herself and the female stars of the company because she was on TV multiple times a night.

“And when they started giving me more TV time, there was a lot of animosity backstage with the girls because I would go on stage maybe three or four times a night and that was… I didn’t think of it as being more popular. I had a job to do and of course General Manager, you sometimes [would be out there] all night long during the show, and every time I went out there I just wanted to give my one-hundred percent and there was a lot of jealousy backstage and I just remained humble because that’s what Eddie taught me to do and, just being in the moment and being grateful for the opportunity because in this business, it can be gone by tomorrow.” She explained. “You know there’s no promises in the business so, every night I got perform and work with these great people and especially work with the McMahons, I was like a kid in a candy store. I was pinching myself because a lot of people weren’t able to work with the McMahons and do a ring promo and when I was able to do that, that was the highlight of my career.”

During this very interview Vickie talked about what signaled her that she was going to be taking a bump on the show. Check out Fightful’s published article for her direct quote on the topic.
