Velveteen Dream Returns To NXT, Gets Slapped By Adam Cole
Velveteen Dream is back on television.
Dream returned on Wednesday’s NXT, confronting Adam Cole as he and Roderick Strong discussed Kyle O’Reilly’s chances against Finn Balor at New Year’s Evil. Cole wasn’t exactly thrilled that Dream interrupted their interview segment or chastised Undisputed ERA.
Wanting to shut up Dream, Cole asked him what the five fingers said to the face.
Dream had been off television since the November 4 episode of NXT when he lost to Tommaso Ciampa.

The segment set up Cole vs. Dream for a bout later in the night, which was won by Cole.
Cole and Dream feuded throughout spring, culminating at NXT TakeOver: In Your House when Cole defeated Dream in a Backlot Brawl.
