Update on Goldberg’s Fastlane Status

Shortly after Bill Goldberg revealed that he would be entering the 2017 Royal Rumble match, it had been revealed that the former World Champion was set to appear at multiple shows between then and WrestleMania.

One of those shows happens to be the WWE Fastlane event in March.

Though he has been advertised for the event, there was no indication as to what he would be doing come show time. Until now, that is.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, not only is Goldberg scheduled to appear, but he’s slated to have a match that night. The match is expected to be a main event bout, but an opponent for Goldberg is currently unknown.

Fastlane is the final RAW-exclusive pay-per-view before WrestleMania, and takes place on Sunday, March 5 from the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Before that comes, however, Goldberg will take part in a star-studded Royal Rumble match in San Antonio that features himself, Brock Lesnar, and The Undertaker, just to name a few.

He will also appear on the Royal Rumble go-home episode of RAW as well as numerous other episodes throughout the Road to WrestleMania. It is still expected, albeit not official, that Goldberg will be wrestling at WrestleMania 33 on April 2, bringing the number of matches during his run with the company to four.
