United States Championship, Rematch, Cell Match, Roode Added To WWE Hell In A Cell, Updated Card

Baron Corbin is still seeking out his first pro wrestling championship, and he'll get his opportunity at WWE Hell in a Cell.

"The Lone Wolf" has been in pursuit of AJ Styles and his WWE United States Championship, and made a challenge for the title for the upcoming WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. Corbin has been unable to capture the championship thus far and got caught in a feud with Tye Dillinger along the way with the two vying to compete in Styles' United States Title Open Challenges over recent weeks, which saw Styles consistently retain his title.

Despite never holding a title in the WWE or NXT, Corbin isn't without accolade. He won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal in his WWE main roster debut match at WrestleMania 32 in 2016, and also won this year's Money in the Bank match. He was defeated in record fashion by Jinder Mahal when he tried to cash in.

Corbin made the challenge to Styles after defeating Dillinger via countout by throwing Tye into Styles, who was at ringside providing commentary.

Elsewhere in the show, the long feud between Usos and New Day continued with the Smackdown Tag Team Champions New Day proposing a Hell in a Cell match fof their championship duel at the pay-per-view. Randy Orton also challenged Rusev to a rubber match for the show. Dolph Ziggler vs. Bobby Roode was also added.

WWE Hell in a Cell takes place October 8 from Little Ceasars Arena from Detroit, Michigan. Fightful.com will have full, live coverage of the show, including a post-show podcast. You can see the full card below.
