Undisputed Winner Crowned In Undisputed Finale At NXT TakeOver 36

An undisputed finish.

Kyle O’Reilly proved himself to be undisputed in the Undisputed Finale against Adam Cole, tapping him out in the final fall of a two-out-of-three falls match.

It all came down to a cage match between Cole and O’Reilly after O’Reilly won the first fall, which was a regular bout, and Cole won the second fall, which was a street fight.

O’Reilly scored the victory in the third fall by locking Cole in a heel hook despite being handcuffed to the cage. Cole had no choice but to tap out from the move.

The first fall came quickly as O’Reilly blocked the Panama Sunrise but sitting into a pinfall in less than four minutes, stunning Cole and the CWC crowd.

Cole evened up the score in the second fall, which was a street fight, finishing off O’Reilly with the Last Shot after tossing O’Reilly into a set steel chair.

Before the cage lowered for the third fall, Cole powerbombed O’Reilly onto the announce table.

O’Reilly and Cole have been linked since Cole made his NXT debut at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III when they, along with Bobby Fish, attacked NXT Champion Drew McIntyre. Cole turned his back on Undisputed ERA at NXT TakeOver: Vengence Day in February.
