Undisputed Ring Of Honor Women’s World Champion Crowned On 5/4 AEW Dynamite

There can be only one!

On the May 4 episode of AEW Dynamite, Deonna Purrazzo and Mercedes Martinez faced off for the right to be the ROH Undisputed Women’s Champion. The Virtuosa, who was making her AEW debut, won the belt from Rok-C earlier this year. Mercedes was crowned interim champion at ROH Supercard of Honor, defeating Willow Nightingale. Purrazzo was unable to attend that show as IMPACT’s Multiverse of Matches was held the same night.

The two women main evented Dynamite and in the end, it was Martinez who emerged victoriously to become the Undisputed ROH Women’s World Champion. She ends Deonna’s reign with the belt at 116 days. The former Champ-Champ in IMPACT Wrestling, Purrazzo lost her other title, the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship to Taya Valkyrie two weeks ago at Rebellion.
