The Undertaker Wants To Be Smarter With His 2019 Schedule, Says Traveling Last Year Wasn’t Fun

The Undertaker knows he traveled too much in 2018.

While The Undertaker only worked a handful of matches in 2018, two of those matches were in a span of fewer than 30 days and a lot of traveling was involved. Undertaker wrestled Triple H in Australia on Oct. 6 and then teamed with Kane to face Triple H & Shawn Michaels in Saudi Arabia on Nov. 2. During the build to both bouts, Taker made multiple appearances on WWE Raw.

Speaking to Pastor Ed Young, Undertaker detailed his travel schedule to Australia and Saudi Arabia.

“For some reason, last year, I kind of lost my mind and thought I was a young 20-year-old again,” said Undertaker. “One month, I flew from Austin, Texas to Seattle, Washington on Monday. On Tuesday, I flew from Seattle back to Austin. On Wednesday, I flew from Austin to LA and then LA to Melbourne. I land in Australia on Friday, wrestled on Saturday, flew home on Sunday. I figured out I was in air longer than I was in country. Three weeks later, I did the same thing. Austin to Charlotte, back to Austin then to DC and then I go to Saudi Arabia. I get there on Friday, wrestle on Saturday, went right from the stadium to the airport, caught a flight to Madrid. Went to Atlanta and then back to Austin.”

Compare that to 2017, when Undertaker worked just two matches — one being The Royal Rumble — and didn’t leave the United States. 2018 was Taker’s second most active year in terms of matches worked since 2010 and, in terms of miles traveled, his busiest year since 2010.

In 2019, Undertaker wants to be smarter.

“That was last year. Hopefully, I’m a little smarter with what I do because that wasn’t fun.”

As of now, Undertaker is not scheduled to appear at any upcoming WWE events. He has been booked for Starrcast in Las Vegas in May
