Tyler Breeze Names Orange Cassidy, Dalton Castle As Possible Dream Opponents
Tyler Breeze names two talents he would like to have a dream match with in the future.
Tyler Breeze talks potential dream matches in the world of professional wrestling.
Breeze remains signed to WWE, but is currently allowed to work on the independent wrestling scene as his deal relates to UpUpDownDown. That being said, before this deal came about, he was an active member of the WWE roster, beginning in NXT before moving up to the main roster before returning to the brand once again to complete his run in the ring with WWE.
Breeze took a two year break from the ring in 2021, returning to the ring in September of this year to take on Matt Cross in NGW. Since then, he has also wrestled for Prestige Wrestling and worked with Matt Cardona, Speedball Mike Bailey and more.
While speaking on the Two Men Power Trip podcast, Breeze discussed his return to the independent wrestling scene, remarking how fun it is has been.
“It’s really fun. It’s very different. Obviously coming up, the independent scene is very different than on the other side of it, but getting back out there is fun. There’s a lot of people out there that I’ve never worked with before, a lot of people who are hungry to get better and learn some stuff. They just need the right people to work with and help them along with certain things. It’s fun seeing a lot of the crowd as well, who haven’t seen me for a couple of years now. It’s fun talking to everybody a little bit more because you’re doing more of a meet-and-greet type of style and selling your merch and stuff like that. You’re right in there with them. I always like the interactions with fans and hearing about the stuff that they liked and their experiences, and the first time that they saw all that type of stuff. So, it’s been refreshing.”
Tyler was then asked to name some dream matches he still has. Breeze would note that he would want opponents who get the character side of wrestling, but can also go once the bell rings.
“I guess the closest thing if I was ever going to maybe say a dream match, I think a really fun match that would be, would be me and Orange Cassidy or maybe Dalton Castle. I think I’d put him on there, too,” Breeze said. “It’s the guys that get it, the guys that get the character, but then you can also get a 20-minute match out of them.”
Orange Cassidy remains the AEW International Champion while Dalton Castle has featured as a consistent part of Ring Of Honor television.
Last month, Mansoor and Mace revealed that Tyler Breeze was almost brought in to worrk with the Maximum Male Models. You can read more about that here.
