Tyler Bate Would Like A NXT vs. NXT UK TakeOver, Says There Are No Plans For Him To Change Brands

Tyler Bate is happy in NXT UK.

With NXT moving to USA Network on Sept. 18 and WWE having more television on cable than ever, fans have wondered if talents will once again shift brands to add more depth to all rosters. Recently, Pete Dunne moved from NXT UK to NXT after completing his historic 685-day NXT UK Championship reign. Speaking to The Sun, Tyler Bate discussed the possibility of him moving brands in the near future.

“Pete seems to be enjoying himself and it’s something new for him to experience in his career. He’s enjoying it,” said Bate. “As far as I’m aware there are no plans for me to be going anywhere any time soon. I’m quite enjoying my time here in NXT UK and my goal is to keep things fresh and interesting. I like to try new things and go to new places and if I can do that in NXT UK then I’m fine staying here – but there’s nothing planned as far as I’m aware for me to go anywhere soon.”

While there might not be plans for Bate to move to one of the US-based brands, that doesn’t mean he and the rest of the NXT UK roster wouldn’t want to test themselves against their NXT brothers and sisters.

“We have been trying to make NXT UK the best show it can be and we don’t want to have to ask people to watch it – we want them to feel like they have to and can’t miss a show,” said Bate. “So people are constantly trying to outdo each other and grab that brass thing. It keeps everyone on their toes. [NXT vs. NXT UK] sounds really interesting to me. I’d be super up for that. It sounds like it would be a hell of a show for the fans to watch. You never know.”

Before Bate can worry about going toe-to-toe with members of the NXT roster, he must first get by NXT UK Champion WALTER. The two men are set to clash at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff on Aug. 31.
