Tyler Bate Suffered An Injury During His ‘Super Strong Style 16’ Tournament Match

An untimely injury for Tyler Bate.

As the second annual WWE United Kingdom Championship tournament nears closer, the first-ever winner of said tourney Tyler Bate had his sights set on winning yet another tournament. PROGRESS Wrestling recently hosted their multi-day 'Super Strong Style 16' tournament where top wrestlers from around the world competed to earn a future title shot at the PROGRESS World Championship.

During day two of the tournament Tyler Bate went one-on-one with NXT star Kassius Ohno in a bout that Bate was successful in. Although he was able to fight through, at some point during their match Ohno delivered a "powerbomb" onto the 21 year-old Bate and that was the spot where Bate injured his left shoulder.

Tyler Bate was set to face Zack Gibson in the next round of the tournament but was pulled due to his injury. Prior to NXT TakeOver: New Orleans Tyler Bate suffered a minor knee-injury that forced him and his partner Trent Seven out of the 'Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic' tournament. To add, Tyler Bate is scheduled to be in in six-man tag team action during day one of the second annual WWE United Kingdom Championship tournament on June 18th as he will team up with Pete Dunne & Trent Seven to take on The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O'Reilly).
