Two New WWE Network Specials Coming Later This Month Set To Focus On Major Feuds From 2006

WWE Network is set to shine a spotlight on two major feuds from 2006.

WWE Network News is reporting that two new specials will be premiering next week and both are centered around major foods from Monday Night Raw back in 2006.

The next episode of WWE Timeline will chronicle the feud between Mickie James and Trish Stratus. Mickie debuted in WWE as a stalker of Trish Stratus. Both women wrestled each other at New Year’s Revolution 2006 and then competed in a critically-acclaimed WrestleMania 22 before meeting again at Backlash 2006. The final time they would meet one on one was Trish Stratus’ last singles match on Raw in 2006.

This episode is supposed to debut on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. Past episodes include deep dives on the feud between The Miz and Daniel Bryan, Christian and Randy Orton, and even Bret Hart vs Owen Hart.

The other WWE Network special set to debut is WWE Untold: John Cena vs. Edge. This will chronicle their match at the 2006 WWE Unforgiven pay-per-view. At that event, they competed in a Tables Ladders & Chairs Match for the WWE Championship.

The match took place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the hometown of Edge, and was one of the first times that John Cena received a polarizing reaction from the WWE Universe.

Recent episodes of this series include retrospectives on Triple H vs Mick Foley in a Hell in a Cell match in the year 2000 and Sasha Banks vs Bayley at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn in 2015. This next episode is set to debut on Sunday, September 20, 2020.
