Two More Matches Announced For 4/1 NJPW Lonestar Shootout

NJPW has announced two new matches for Lonestar Shootout on April 1 in Dallas.

First, Rocky Romero will go one-on-one with Ren Narita. Also set for the event is an eight-man tag team match that will see FinJuice team up with Daniel Garcia and Kevin Knight to take on Mascara Dorada, Clark Connors, Karl Fredericks, and Yuya Uemura.

The updated card for Lonestar Shootout can be seen below.

From NJPW:

With Jay White vs Mike Bailey, and Chris Dickinson vs Tomohiro Ishii already announced, Lonestar Shootout is set to be a thrilling event in Dallas April 1.

Another pair of matches have been added to that card!

Ren Narita has been testing himself in singles matches all year so far. After facing Katsuyori Shibata in the Tokyo Dome, he went on to face Josh Barnett in Seattle, and fans will see him in action against Buddy Matthews soon on STRONG, before he takes on Jay Lethal in Florida on March 20. Then, days later, he’ll meet Rocky Romero.

NJPW STRONG’s own mega coach, Rocky Romero will take a break from his long standing issues against Team Filthy and Black Tiger. An impressive performance perhaps, and Romero might set a course for junior heavyweight competition in the US and Japan. Or will it be Narita that scores his first big win of the year?

Fans can also expect a great eight man tag bout. David Finlay and Juice Robinson will combine with the LA Dojo’s Kevin Knight, and another hot young prospect in Daniel Garcia. They’ll face two LA Dojo graduates in Karl Fredericks and Clark Connors, as well as current representative Yuya Uemura and the Master of the Ropes, Mascara Dorada!
