Two Big Matches, Intercontinental Championship Set For 10/2 WWE Raw
Braun Strowman came up short in his WWE Universal Championship effort Sunday night at WWE No Mercy against Brock Lesnar, but he'll meet yet another champion on next week's WWE Raw.
Strowman is set to take on WWE Raw Tag Team Champion Seth Rollins on the October 2 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw. Rollins went to WWE Raw General Manager Kurt Angle to get the match after Strowman defeated Rollins' tag team partner Dean Ambrose on this week's show.
You can see an excerpt from our live coverage of Braun Strowman's match with Dean Ambrose below:
Ambrose waits for Strowman to get back in the ring before catching him with a drop kick for a near fall, Ambrose starts attacking Strowman with clotheslines. Strowman misses a charge into the corner and he crashes into the ring post, Ambrose goes to the top rope and Strowman catches him as he leaps. Strowman nails Ambrose with a power slam for the three count.
Winner: Braun Strowman
This won't be the first time the two have locked horns. Strowman and Rollins had a series of matches in December 2016 and January 2017 that saw Strowman winning by countout and disqualification.
Also added to next week's show is an Intercontinental Championship match, as The Miz will defend his title in a re-match against Roman Reigns. Their bout on this week's show ended when Reigns pinned the Champion.
