Triple H: We Never Tell Anybody To Point At The WrestleMania Sign
Pointing at the WrestleMania sign has become a WrestleMania season tradition for almost the last decade-and-a-half in WWE.
Triple H and Shawn Michaels recently participated in a special YouTube video for BT Sport where they break down some of their Royal Rumble moments. when discussing the 2008 Royal Rumble, Triple H acknowledges a moment where he and John Cena have a stare-down and each point at the sign to further acknowledge that the ultimate goal is to get to WrestleMania.
Triple H provided some insight into the infamous pointing at the sign trope revealing that nobody behind the scenes in WWE tells people to point out the sign they do that out of the excitement of being able to have special moments along the Road to WrestleMania.
“And again, there’s the point at the sign of the WrestleMania. You know, it’s funny. Now, fans may go, ‘they’re gonna give you the point at the sign,’ as if this is a hokey thing that has happened over the years, like we tell everybody to point to the sign,” Hunter began. “We don’t tell anybody the point at the sign. This is what everybody wants to do. Like you want to have the moment that you watched when you were a fan of the band. I get that opportunity to pointed the sign at WrestleMania. I get that opportunity to be the guy that is going there.”
This year’s Men’s Royal Rumble has 26 slots taken. See the full list here.
