Triple H: Vince McMahon’s Mind Is Always Working, He’ll Change The Script Going Through The Curtain

It’s no secret that plans change quickly in WWE. Many WWE superstars have commented on not knowing what they’re doing until the day of the event with catering becoming a running joke.

As WWE continues to produce more and more content with plans constantly changing, the moment one show finishes, the next show must be in the works.

Speaking on the Token CEO podcast with Erika Nardini, Triple H explained how quickly things come together.

“A joke a few years ago was, we got done with WrestleMania, and Vince sat down at Gorilla [Position], Steph and I were there. The show was done, everyone left, we’re sitting there and are like, ‘That was a good show.’ I don’t know if a minute went by and a production assistant walked in and handed us the first draft of Raw. Vince looked at and was like, ‘Really? I enjoyed my offseason,'” recalled Triple H.

Nardini, who was present at WWE Fastlane and is on the WWE Board of Directors, commented, “I was talking to Kevin Dunn and [Vince] doesn’t really finish the show until the show is three-quarters of the way done. The way I imagine you all working is, WrestleMania gets locked, there’s 20 minutes left and then you’re back to Raw, NXT, and SmackDown. It’s so alive.”

Triple H finished the conversation by saying, “There are moments in time where you’re working with Vince where, because his mind is always going and always changing, we laugh because you’re about to walk through the curtain, your music is playing, and he’s like, ‘Oh no, don’t say that, say this.’ You’re walking down the ramp like, ‘what am I supposed to say now?’ It’s crazy.”

Nardini recently recalled her conversations with Vince McMahon about the shows together following her trip to WWE Fastlane. You can find her full comments by clicking here.
