During NXT TakeOver XXX, it was announced that NXT UK would be resuming filming in the studios of BT Sport in London, England. The brand is set to return on September 17.
Speaking with Metro, Triple H opened up about his excitement as it pertains to filming in the studio and how much of an advantage this will give the brand moving forward.
“It’s an amazing facility. The intent is for us to be able to in there long-term to be able to create this content, and I think if later down the line, we get to a place where fans can come in – obviously we’d be thrilled and excited.”
Outside of COVID-19, the UK wrestling scene was also impacted heavily by the Speaking Out movement. A movement that targeted sexual misconduct and other forms of misogyny in wrestling.
In this interview, Triple H talks about how seriously they take all of the allegations that are put forth and why he’s open need to start NXT UK as a preventive measure for this kind of behavior.
Part of this is why we started [NXT UK] in the first place – to professionalize and put that system into place where everyone can feel safe and protected and have a working environment that is inclusive of everyone and the opportunity to do what we do,” said Triple H. “We take every allegation very seriously, and you can refer back to our policy. It’s zero tolerance for things of this manner. We look into everything. We look into it, we go from there to see what is legitimate, what is not, what is real, what isn’t, and deal with it accordingly.”
