Triple H Recounts A Story Of WWE Trying To Rib The Undertaker By Filling A Casket With Cucumbers
WWE Superstars of the past would love to try to make the Undertaker break character and one time, that involved a casket full of cucumbers.
Currently, the Undertaker is pulling back the curtain on the man behind the character and his decades of WWE experience on the new WWE Network documentary series, Undertaker: The Last Ride. Once upon a time, however, many Superstars would go to great lengths to try and get The Undertaker to break character.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, Triple H tells a story about one such incident that involved a Casket Match and a unique surprise for The Undertaker inside the casket, and this time it wasn’t Mankind.
“There’s this infamous thing about [The Undertaker] and his hatred towards cucumbers, right? One time, I don’t remember where we were, but they filmed us. It was a Casket Match and they filled the casket up with cucumbers just so that when the first time when you knock ‘Taker out and you go to roll him into the casket and then the top opens up and he looks inside and it’s all full of cucumbers and, you know, [he would] just lose his mind,” Triple H recalled. “Yeah, whatever you could do, you know, when you’re on the road that much together. It’s a brotherhood and you’re all having fun and in and having a blast tearing it up and doing all that stuff with the crowds. But those were things that we would do with him. He was just always the guy. He was like the big daddy, you know. The father figure, so to speak, in the locker room that everybody respected. It didn’t matter who you were.”
Hunter also noted that The People’s Elbow started in an attempt to break Undertaker
Triple H and the mutual respect between him and The Undertaker is a central part of episode 3 of the WWE documentary series which will premiere on Sunday, May 24, 2020. Check out Sean Ross Sapp’s preview of the episode at this link.
