Trick Williams Tells Carmelo Hayes He ‘Ain’t No Sidekick’ And Wants To Be His Own Man On 8/1/23 NXT
Trick Williams wants to let the world know he’s not a sidekick.
Trick Williams has been paired with Carmelo Hayes since the start of NXT 2.0 in 2021. After helping Carmelo succeed as a single competitor and reach the top of the mountain as WWE NXT Champion, Trick now says he is ready to prove to the world that he is his own man.
Williams had a conversation with Hayes on the August 1 episode of WWE NXT, letting Carmelo Hayes know that they’re not breaking up but that he is ready to go out and show the world on his own.
Melo and Trick embraced with no hard feelings.
“This ain’t no breakup, I just gotta be my own man.”

In Williams’ short career, he has had 59 matches so far. He has picked up wins against names such as Javier Bernal and Oro Mensah on live events but has also suffered defeats to the likes of Baron Corbin on NXT television.
