Toru Yano Is The NJPW King Of Pro Wrestling 2021
Toru Yano is the King of Pro Wrestling.
At NJPW’s Road to Tokyo Dome event on December 24, Toru Yano successfully defended his KOPW 2021 Trophy against Yoshinobu Kanemaru in an End of Year Party match. The rules stated participants must drink every two minutes. Other wrestling rules apply, with the ruling that if a drink is not completed within twenty seconds, they will be disqualified.
Since this was the last KOPW 2021 trophy bout of the year and Yano has the trophy, he is the official King of Pro Wrestling 2021.

This marks the second straight year Yano has been King of Pro Wrestling.
He won the trophy at Wrestle Kingdom 15, only losing it to Chase Owens at Wrestle Grand Slam in the Tokyo Dome in a 22-man New Japan Ranbo with handcuffs. Yano would regain the trophy at Wrestle Grand Slam in MetLife Dome in an I Quit match.
