Top Contender Crowned For AEW World Title, Lio Rush Makes Debut At AEW Double Or Nothing
The top contender for the AEW World Title has been crowned.
Jungle Boy outlasted the competition in the Casino Battle Royale, earning himself a future shot at the AEW World Title.
The bout came down to Christian Cage, Matt Hardy, and Jungle Boy. Hardy tried to align himself with Christian, bringing back memories of the famous rivalry, but Christian quickly tossed him. Christian and Jungle Boy had a lengthy battle on the apron with Jungle Boy surviving elimination multiple times. Jungle Boy eliminated Christian by back body dropping him from the apron and over the top rope.
After the bout, Jungle Boy was greeted by Luchasaurus and Marko Stunt. Christian also gave Jungle Boy his stamp of approval, embracing him after the bout.
Lio Rush was the mystery entrant as the Joker.

A couple of changes were made to the battle royale prior to the match as it was announced that The Blade was injured and could not complete. Serpentico replaced him. QT Marshall was also taken out of the battle royale with a wrist injury and replaced by Aaron Solow.
