Tony Schiavone Says Ole Anderson Regretted How He Treated Vince And Linda McMahon

Ole Anderson has regrets according to Tony Schiavone.

Ole Anderson was not part of the WWE Hall of Fame induction of the Four Horsemen in 2012 despite being an original member of the group.

In a 2012 interview with the Post and Courier, Ole said, “Vince McMahon hates my guts, and I don’t like him. So that’s all there is to it. To be a part of that, anyone with a brain knows who the first Four Horsemen were. It was me and Arn and Ric and Tully Blanchard, and J.J. Dillon was the manager. So if they don’t know that, they don’t know anything about wrestling anyway. So what’s the difference? … Vince McMahon is never going to call me. I hate his guts just like he hates mine. It’s no big deal. … I told Vince McMahon to go (expletive deleted), and I wouldn’t change my mind now.”

Ole’s issues with Vince date back to the 1980s when McMahon looked to end the territory system, which included Ole’s Georgia Championship Wrestling.

According to Tony Schiavone, Ole regrets how he handled things with Vince.

“In later years, Ole told me this story, but in his later years, he regrets the way he treated Vince and Linda. Vince comes to the TBS studios during the takeover and he wanted to extend the hand of friendship to Ole. He says, ‘and here is my wife Linda.’ Ole’s line was, ‘you and your wife can go fuck yourselves.’ Something to that effect. He regretted that. That is old school and a guy [Anderson] who loved the territories and loved the old school, and a guy [McMahon] who was changing the wrestling business. Ole regrets that, but that’s the reason why Ole wasn’t part of the Four Horsemen inducted into the Hall of Fame,” Schiavone said on What Happened When

Ric Flair, Barry Windham, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, & J. J. Dillon were part of the Four Horsemen indusction at the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame.

Ole has not been involved in the wrestling business since the 1990s and suffers from multiple sclerosis (MS).
