Tony Schiavone: I’m Thrilled That Samoa Joe Is Our Champion, He’s A Pro’s Pro
Tony Schiavone comments on Samoa Joe’s AEW World Championship win.
At the Worlds End pay-per-view back in December, Samoa Joe unseated MJF and won the AEW World Championship. Joe’s win ended MJF’s reign with the world championship at the 406 day mark.
On the latest episode of What Happened When, Tony Schiavone commented on Joe’s big championship win and noted that there is nobody backstage who is a better leader than Samoa Joe.
“It was a great match. I’m thrilled that Samoa Joe is our champion because backstage-wise, he’s a pro’s pro. There’s nobody backstage that is better and a leader backstage for the boys than Samoa Joe. He leads by example. I think it’s a great move to have him as our world champion. I’m all about Samoa Joe.”
