Tony Khan Reveals The Opening Theme For AEW Collision
It’s not Nickelback, but I guess this’ll do.
On Saturday, July 17, AEW will debut their newest weekly show, Collision. Now, thanks to AEW President Tony Khan, we know that the opening theme will be Elton John’s 1973 single, Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting.
It’s official!
Our opening theme for Saturday Night #AEWCollision on TNT is
Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting by Sir Elton John! While @FulhamFC and @WatfordFC will never be best mates on the pitch, you’re now a great friend to @AEW, @eltonofficial, and we salute you, Sir!

Licensing the music of Elton John is quite the flex for AEW, who have made previous headlines by getting the rights to tunes by artists such as The Pixies, Jefferson Starship, Baltimora, Action Bronson, and Kansas, among others.
Earlier today, Khan also wrote that the AEW Collision commentary team would be Kevin Kelly and Nigel McGuinness, with Jim Ross joining them for expert analysis.
Here is the updated lineup for Saturday’s AEW Collision:
AEW Collision (6/17)
- CM Punk & FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) vs. Samoa Joe & Bullet Club Gold (Jay White & Juice Robinson)
- CM Punk speaks
- AEW TNT Championship: Wardlow (c) vs. Luchasaurus
- Miro in action
- Skye Blue & Willow Nightingale vs. Toni Storm & Ruby Soho
- Buddy Matthews vs. Andrade El Idolo
Fightful will provide live coverage of AEW Collision, and a post-show review immediately following its conclusion.
