Tony Khan: ‘I Don’t Think People Talk Enough About What A Great Worker Brock Lesnar Is’
Tony Khan declined to comment on Brock Lesnar’s free-agent status recently, but that didn’t stop him from complimenting the former WWE Champion.
When news broke last week of Brock Lesnar becoming a free agent after his WWE contract expired, both the MMA world and the professional wrestling world began to speculate where Brock Lesnar could potentially end up now that he is free of any WWE obligation.
While Dana White spoke honestly about being “seriously interested” in a potential fight between Jon Jones and Brock Lesnar, wrestling fans began to speculate about the potential of Brock Lesnar going to All Elite Wrestling.
During the media call on Thursday before AEW All Out, AEW President Tony Khan declined to speak in-depth on negotiations with Lesnar, Tony Khan would praise Brock Lesnar’s ability as a worker, revealing himself to be a fan of “The Beast Incarnate.”
“I can’t comment on that at this time, but I’ve enjoyed Brock’s work for many years. He’s a great fighter and a great wrestler,” said Tony (via WrestleZone.)
He continued, “I don’t think people talk enough about what a great worker Brock Lesnar is. He is one of the great working big men I’ve ever seen, one of the great athletes in the history of the wrestling business. I have so much respect for him. But yeah, I couldn’t comment on that.”
Fightful obtained word from a source in WWE that the situation regarding Lesnar’s contract isn’t all that uncommon. Learn more at this link.
