Tony Khan Explains Why FTR Isn’t Ranked In AEW Official Rankings

Each Wednesday, AEW provides fans with its official rankings to help determine who is in line for an upcoming title shot.

The rankings are based on win-loss record with level of competition supposedly factored in as well.

Though FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) are 4-0 in AEW with victories over Lucha Bros, Butcher & Blade, The Initiative, and SCU; the duo has not been ranked in the Top 5 of the official rankings. Private Party, who are 5-4, are currently ranked fifth.

Cash took to social media to seemingly question to legitimacy of the rankings without FTR being one of the top five teams.

AEW President Tony Khan explained why FTR is not ranked.

FTR has previously said that they are on a handshake deal with AEW.

Both members of the group offered the following responses.

The duo is currently involved in a storyline with Hangman Page and The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks).

Fightful will have live coverage of AEW Dynamite beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
