Tony Khan Didn’t Know Post-AEW Dynamite Stunner Spot Was Happening, Felt He Had No Choice

Following Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan laid out Shawn Spears with a Stunner. The segment was part of the off-air portion of the show following AEW Dark tapings.

The footage made the rounds online, with opinions varying on how it came off. Some believed it was a harmless segment, while others thought it was detrimental to the product. Khan has previously stated that he won’t be an on-screen character, though his voice was present in a backstage segment with Jon Moxley leading up to AEW Full Gear.

Shawn Spears revealed on Twitter that the spot was his idea. And Tony Khan also commented on the spot, saying he felt he had no choice but to do it.

It is unknown if the full footage will air on an upcoming episode of Being The Elite.

The other big news coming out of Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite was the phantom punches thrown in the main event segment by a Dark Order Creeper. You can find Dustin Rhodes’ comments on the punches by clicking here.
