Tony D’Angelo, Axiom Cleared To Compete As Of 11/29 WWE NXT
Brief injury updates from the most recent episode of WWE NXT.
While discussing who should compete in the inaugural Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge, Shawn Michaels revealed on the November 29 episode of WWE NXT that Tony D’Angelo remains injured and is likely to be on the shelf for “a couple of weeks.” However, Shawn Michaels did speak about Tony D’Angelo’s competitive Fire and Desire to be back in the ring. Later in the evening, Tony D’Angelo revealed to Dijak that he will return to action on Tuesday, December 6
Tony was injured on September 27, Tony D’Angelo wrestled Wes Lee for a spot in the NXT North American Championship Ladder Match at the upcoming Halloween Havoc Premium Live Event. That match came to an abrupt end when Tony D’Angelo landed awkwardly following a drop-toe hold. Tony returned on screen on October 11 to reveal that he had “blown out his PCL in 100 places”
In other injury news, Axiom returned from an injury he suffered at the hands of JD McDonagh on November 8, 2022. Tonight, he returns to action against Javier Bernal, the man who had been calling him out knowing that he was injured and unable to compete. Axiom was also briefly discussed for the Iron Survivor Challenge, being a particular favorite of Sean Waltman.
