NXT announced that the Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) will face Malik Blade and Edris Enofe on the April 16 episode. This comes after the former NXT Tag Team Champions made a surprise appearance alongside the rest of The Final Testament on the April 9 episode.

NXT also announced that Tony D’Angelo will return to the brand on the April 16th episode.
D’Angelo was last seen at NXT Stand & Deliver, where he challenged Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship but ultimately fell short.
