Toni Storm Dethrones Rhea Ripley To Win NXT UK Women’s Championship At TakeOver: Blackpool
It is officially Toni time in WWE.
It was at the NXT UK TV tapings in Birmingham, England this past August that Rhea Ripley defeated Toni Storm in the finals of the NXT UK Women’s Championship tournament to become the first-ever holder of said title. Today at the very first NXT UK TakeOver show in Blackpool, England, those two women met once again with the championship on the line.

The two early 20s superstars took the fight to one another for the crowd inside of the Empress Ballroom and their brawl was physical.

Both Ripley and Toni had their moments when it appeared that they were going to be leaving TakeOver with the title. Toni kicked out of two ‘Riptides’ and Rhea was able to kick out of one of Toni Storm’s ‘Tiger Drivers’ but it was the second one that put Rhea away and after that second finisher Toni ended Ripley’s six-month reign as NXT UK Women’s Champion to begin her own reign.
