– Tommaso Ciampa commented on his return and reflected on how he had come close on multiple occasions so far. He vowed to make the change he wanted. Ciampa said, “Do it yourself” before he stated that he intends to take over the game.
– The Miz aimed to score an easy win by pciking Akira Tozawa as his opponent. Instead, The Miz took his eye off the ball when he talked some trash to LA Knight, who joined the commentary team. Tozawa then rolled The Miz up for the win. The victory marked Tozawa’s first singles win on Raw since August 2017. LA Knight added insult to injury by attacking The Miz after the bell.

– Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle faced the New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods).Erik of the Viking Raiders took out McIntyre, and New Day pinned Riddle to clinch the win. The Viking Raiders attacked New Day after the match, but McIntyre fought them off.

– In a video message, Shayna Baszler made it clear that she intended to “set it all on fire.”
– Sami Zayn opened the show and got a warm welcome from the crowd. The Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio, Rhea Ripley, Finn Balor, and Damian Priest) interrupted, and Kevin Owens made his return to WWE TV. He and Zayn took the fight to The Judgment Day. Owens then challenged any pairing of the Judgment Day to face him and Zayn.

– In an interview, JD McDonagh, alongside Finn Balor, was asked about his relationship with Finn Balor. McDonagh compared Balor to an older brother. Rhea Ripley interrupted and told Balor they had to figure out which duo would be teaming up. She then pushed McDonagh away and made it clear that it was Judgment Day business.
– Cody Rhodes started his interview backstage and came out to the arena. He made it clear that he would be watching The Judgment Day’s match against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn closely. He also stated that JD McDonagh looked like a Funko Pop.

– In a video message, Shinsuke Nakamura commented on what he whispered to Seth Rollins. He revealed that he said, “I know about your back,” as he explained that he knew it had affected Rollins for years. Nakamua vowed to break Rollins. WWE announced that the two stars will face off at WWE Payback.

– WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley defeated Candice LeRae.Raquel Rodriguez came out and took the fight to her after the bell. She then announced that she will challenge for the gold at WWE Payback.

– Becky Lynch came to the ring and discussed her upcoming Steel Cage match at WWE Payback. Stratus and Zoey Stark interrupted. Lynch and Stratus discussed their match. “The Man” then announced that she will face Stark in a Falls Count Anywhere Match on the August 28 episode.

– Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn faced Damian Priest and Sami Zayn. McDonagh interfered, and the match ended in a disqualification. Cody Rhodes made the save for Owens and Zayn and challenged The Judgment Day (Priest, Balor, and Dominik Mysterio) to a six-man tag team match. Owens then pinned Mysterio to clinch the win.
