Tommaso Ciampa Receives Standing Ovation, Embraces Triple H Following Bout At NXT Stand & Deliver
Tommaso Ciampa’s NXT career may have come to a close.
Tony D’Angelo defeated Tommaso Ciampa at NXT Stand & Deliver to become the Don of NXT. D’Angelo picked up the victory after a DDT to the concrete on the outside and a kick to the head in the ring.
After the bout, the crowd chanted “Thank you Ciampa” as he kissed the ring. As he made his way backstage, Ciampa was greeted by Triple H.
Ciampa paid tribute to Triple H and Shawn Michaels before the bout, spitting water and doing Michaels’ pose as part of his entrance.
Ciampa has alluded to NXT Stand & Deliver being his last match in NXT. He has made a handful of appearances on WWE Raw in 2022, aligning with Bron Breakker as he’s been feuding with Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.
