– Tommaso Ciampa returned to NXT after being absent for many weeks, taking out his frustrations on Jake Atlas in his first match back.
– This week saw the return of Wade Barrett as a commentator for NXT and he revealed during tonight’s NXT that he will be back next week on September 1.
– This week’s episode of NXT saw Santos Escobar defend the NXT Cruiserweight Championship against Isaiah “Swerve” Scott. Although Escobar was victorious, Scott says he’s not done.
