In a promo on the June 9 episode of AEW Rampage, Wardlow and Arn Anderson discussed their feud with Christian Cage and Luchasaurus. They made it clear that they wanted revenge after the duo attacked Arn’s son, Brock. Wardlow then noted that he had an open challenge for the title on AEW Dynamite, and he would be facing Jake Hager of the Jericho Appreciation Society. Wardlow and Hager were previously on opposite sides of the feud between The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle.

Plus, Skye Blue will challenge Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship. Blue earned a title shot by defeating Britt Baker, Nyla Rose, and Mercedes Martinez on the June 9 episode of AEW Rampage.
