TNT Championship Changes Hands On 4/27 AEW Dynamite
AEW has a new TNT Champion.
On the April 27 episode of AEW Dynamite, Sammy Guevara defended the TNT Title in a Ladder Match against Scorpio Sky. The Spanish God agreed to the match after Scorpio agreed to give Sammy and Tay Conti the mixed tag team match against Paige VanZant that they’d been angling for.
The bout saw both Conti and VanZant get involved, but it was Sky sending Guevara crashing off a ladder twice that helped him secure the victory and capture the title for the second time. Sky first won the belt on March 9 from Guevara and then lost it to him on April 16 at Battle of the Belts II.
Scorpio’s first challenger is expected to be Frankie Kazarian, his former SCU tag team partner. Scorpio promised Kazarian a title opportunity if he allowed Sky to challenge Sammy before him.
