TNA IMPACT (5/2/2024) Results: Jordynne Grace vs Miyu Yamashita, Ace Austin, Mustafa Ali, More Set

Results for the 5/2/2024 edition of TNA IMPACT.

On May 2, 2024, TNA hosted a new episode of TNA Impact on AXS TV and via its YouTube channel.

The show was headlined by Jordynne Grace defending her TNA Knockout’s World Title against Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling’s Miyu Yamashita. The full results are listed below.

TNA iMPACT! (5/2/2024).

  • Tom Hannifan & Matt Rehwoldt welcomed the audience to the broadcast. After that introduction, Bun B, Rich Swann & AJ Francis opened the proceedings from the crowd before transitioning into the 
  • Mustafa Ali def. Chris Bey via Pinfall (450 Splash).
  • Alisha Edwards (w/ Masha Slamovich) def. Dani Luna (w/ Jody Threat) via Pinfall (Snowplow from Masha Slamovich).
  • Sami Callihan hosted the debut episode of DMTV (Death Match Television), where he promised to expose all the false prophets in his TNA Return.
  • Before their match, Cody Deaner revealed to Alexander Hammerstone that he spoke with Santino Marella to make this match at the stipulation of the fan’s choice. The fans chose the match to be a Sin City Street Fight.
  • Sin City Street Fight: Alexander Hammerstone def. Cody Deaner via Submission (Torture Rack).
    • Jake Something and Alexander Hammerstone brawled after the match, with an army of security guards separating them.
  • Matt Hardy, Trent Seven & Mike Bailey cut a promo backstage, where they promised to DELETE The System (Moose, Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers) once and for all.
  • Jonathan Gresham spoke with Santino Marella backstage, where Marella said that he hoped things would be smooth sailing for him. Marella revealed that Gresham would face KUSHIDA in his return match before shaking hands. The Octopus confronted Gresham after his interaction with Marella. Marella then washed his hands because Gresham spilled Octopus Oil on his hand.
  • Bun B & First Class (Rich Swann & AJ Francis) introduced Joe Hendry for his apology to First Class. Before apologizing, Joe Hendry sang again “Cheeze It Champion” and “Banned From Diving” to bring context to why their feud started and had continued. Hendry then sang “Fired”, a cover of Creed’s “Higher” where he mentioned AJ Francis grabbing Rich Swann from the bum after a match and saying that he wanted AJ Francis fired because it happened twice before. The crowd sang along as AJ Francis seethed in anger. 
  • The System (Moose, Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers & Alisha Edwards) came to the ring for an interview with Gia Miller on the ramp. The System bragged about being on the poster of TNA Under Siege before they promised that Alisha would win the TNA Knockouts Tag Titles with Masha Slamovich. Moose, Eddie Edwards, and Brian Myers said they would  “DELETE” Matt Hardy & Speedball Mountain.
  • TNA X-Division Championship – #1 Contender’s Match: Ace Austin (w/ Chris Bey) def. Trey Miguel (w/ Zachary Wentz) via Pinfall (The Fold).
    • With this win, Ace Austin will face Mustafa Ali to challenge for the TNA X-Division Championship/
  • Josh Alexander & Eric Young cut a promo backstage, where they promised to defeat the team of Steve Maclin and Frankie Kazarian on TNA Under Siege. 
  • George Iceman introduced Ash By Elegance from the crowd. They stayed there to watch the main event match for the TNA Knockouts Title.
  • TNA Knockouts World Championship Match: Jordynne Grace (c) def. Miyu Yamashita via Pinfall (Juggernaut Driver).
    • Steph DeLander attacked Jordynne Grace after the match thanks to Kon’s distraction. DeLander demanded Kon to break Grace’s neck, but the lights went out before PCO appeared. PCO & Grace took out Kon, but DeLandeer hit a lariat on Grace. PCO went for a chokeslam on DeLander, but DeLander escaped the choke; however, Grace caught DeLander with a knee lift before tossing her out of the ring. Grace and PCO stood tall to end the broadcast.
