Tim Storm Talks Victory Over Nick Aldis, Says He’ll Get Better

The NWA had the wrestling world buzzing earlier this month with a Heavyweight Title match between champion Tim Storm and challenger Nick Aldis.

It was the promotions first big event under the guidance of new owner Billy Corgan and was setup by a YouTube series titled Ten Pounds of Gold. The match was viewed by over 40,000 fans live and currently has over 30,000 views on YouTube.

The 52-year-old Storm successfully defended his title against Aldis in a match that delivered in terms of the story. Following the bout, Storm talked with Denise Salcedo and gave his thoughts on what happened in the ring.

"That was battle. Nick Aldis is a real competitor. Probably the biggest match of my career, to date, and I've had (the title) for a year. I'm not quite sure how the finish came off. I'm gonna have to go back and look at it. I'm gonna take the referee's word for it. I'm gonna learn from it. I'm gonna get better. That's what a champion does."

The finish was subject of some controversy as Storm used the ropes to reverse the roll-up by Aldis.

Storm also gave his thoughts on Aldis as a competitor.

"I know now how tough competition is. You may be one of the best in the world. I'm gonna get better. The next time we step in the ring together, I know more of what to expect and so do you. The next one is gonna be even rougher."
A rematch between the two competitors has not been scheduled, but appears certain based on the publicity the first match garnered and the questionable finish.

Tim Storm has been a busy man since defending his title. He recently accepted an offer to be part of CZW's Cage of Death event on December  9.
