Thunder Rosa Would Love To Help Book And Run NWA
The National Wrestling Alliance is in a wild situation, with no firm plans ahead.
Former Vice President Dave Lagana left the company earlier this year after allegations of sexual assault re-emerged. As of now, there’s no word on who will help Owner Billy Corgan run the company or when they’ll return. A familiar name is open to helping — Thunder Rosa.
Rosa is promotiong Mission Pro Wrestling’s newest show this month, and has television experience across Lucha Underground, WOW, NWA, ROH and AEW. She’d be up for the challenge.
“I mean, if the opportunity comes then absolutely. Why not? It’s another thing that I would love to do. Like I said, I have a team of people with me that we’ve been working for years. My husband and I, we’ve been doing promoting for years. We’ve seen what works and what doesn’t. Especially with women’s wrestling. ‘Cause a lot of times people don’t pay attention to women’s wrestling in big companies or even in the big indies, they still kinda, “Eh, one match,” and then roll off a little bit. That’s the thing. Stop doing that. Stop. We know what we’re doing. We work with so many different promoters from Mexico, Japan. We know what people like. We know how to book matches with women. Like I said, if the opportunity comes we don’t see why not. We want to make our promotion grow more and again give opportunities to these young girls and things are happening little by little. But, again, it would be absolutely amazing if that can happened,” said Rosa.
It’s hard to envision any one person replacing Lagana as he was a do-it-all kind of person for NWA. Rosa is a sponge for information, trying to soak up every aspect of pro wrestling that she can. She’s expressed her desire to work as a trainer for WOW, and said that she also hopes to learn the production and video editing side of wrestling more.
