There Was Reportedly Supposed To Be Another Match On The WrestleMania Card, But It Was Nixed
If you watched the entire 7 hour broadcast of WrestleMania 33, including the two hour pre-show, featuring 13 matches, and what you came away thinking was "It should have been longer," I regret to inform you that you almost got your wish.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that there was supposed to be another match on the card, and it was to feature the Cruiserweight Division. There was Six-Man Match scheduled, and the cruiserweights who would have been involved were told they were on the card, then later told the match was being pulled.
Only two of the WWE's 18 cruiserweights were used on the Mania 33 card, with Neville defeating Austin Aries to retain his Championship in the first match on the Kickoff Show, a bout that many thought ranked among the best of the night.
Other commonly featured members of the division include former champions TJ Perkins, Brian Kendrick and Rich Swann, as well as top challengers Jack Gallagher and Mustafa Ali, as well as Tony Nese, Akira Tozawa and Noam Dar. It was not reported which six superstars would have been in the match.
