RUSH, La Mascara, and La Sombra (Andrade) founded Los Ingobernables in 2014. The group later expanded into Japan, and Los Ingobernables de JapĆ³n has become a successful faction in its own right. Andrade left CMLL in 2015 and later signed with WWE before he moved to AEW. CMLL recently announced that Andrade will return to the promotion, and fans are buzzing about a potential reunion with his former stable.
Speaking with Toyko Sports, LIJ’s Tetsuya Naito commented on the news. (Translation via DeepL)
“I’m happy and I want to stand with him again, whether it’s in the New Japan ring or the CMLL ring. He’s one of my mentors who changed my life,” Naito said.
Naito also commented on the success of both Andrade El Idolo and RUSH, as the former Los Ingobernables members have continued to shine. He noted that, in doing so, that shows how big the stable was. Naito stated that he will continue to be part of LIJ as long as he is active, as he wants to give them a place to come back to.
“It’s inspiring for me to see those two becoming bigger [stars]. Both of them are stepping up, and each of them has realized just how big Los Ingobernables was. I’m proving it. I’m going to call myself LIJ as long as I’m still active. Why do I keep doing it? I want to leave a place for them to come back. After all, they are uncontrollable guys. I wouldn’t mind if they jump in and join us at next year’s Fantastica Mania,” Naito said.
Naito previously said he wanted to spread the name of Los Ingobernables de Japon around the world. Check out his comments here.
