Taylor Wilde Talks Potential IMPACT Wrestling Return Being Derailed By COVID-19
Could we see a return to IMPACT Wrestling for an OG Knockout?
Taylor Wilde is a name that modern wrestling fans may not know all too well, but for fans of TNA Wrestling in the early days of the Knockouts division, Taylor was the Cinderella story of the division, toppling Awesome Kong to become only the third ever Knockouts Champion in TNA Wrestling history.
Over time, Taylor Wilde faded away from TNA and wrestling altogether. But now, she’s looking to make a comeback.
Speaking to Bill Pritchard of Wrestlezone, Taylor Wilde addressed rumors of her possibly appearing at the “TNA: There’s No Place Like Home” event originally scheduled for Tampa, but she says the only thing they had agreed on was for her to appear at the Lockdown event in Windsor, Ontario, Canada on March 28. Taylor would also address how the global pandemic played a factor in her not currently looking for any dates in the United States.
Credit to WrestleZone for sending over the following quote.
“Truth be told, because I have quite a history with the people who work at IMPACT, formerly TNA, it was like a tryout situation for the both of us. I know I love wrestling and I’m excited to get back in the ring but it’s been a long time. So, to make sure it’s something I really wanted,” Wilde said, “If I was really into it it would have gone from there. Then there’s the simple fact that I’m Canadian and these are American dates, so there’s a lot of paperwork that goes into that. So Windsor, it all seemed like a good fit.”
Should the situations ever get sorted, Taylor Wilde is a return that fans of old-school TNA Wrestling would most certainly welcome.
