Tama Tonga And Tanga Loa To Meet EVIL And SANADA In Finals Of 2018 NJPW World Tag League
After 13 round-robin matches, the finals for the 2018 NJPW World Tag League are set.
Meeting in the finals will be Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa against EVIL & SANADA. Both teams finished with 20 points in round-robin competition. The Guerrillas of Destiny picked up a victory over Toru Yano & Tomohiro Ishii on the final night of the tournament while EVIL & SANADA scored a win over Davey Boy Smith, Jr. & Lance Archer. The bout will be a rematch of the 2017 World Tag League final, which was won by EVIL & SANADA. Loa and Tonga are the current IWGP Tag Team Champions. The winners of World Tag League typically get an IWGP Tag Team Title shot at the annual Wrestle Kingdom event.
The finals for the 2018 World Tag League will take place on Sunday, Dec. 9 and air live on NJPW World. Also set for the event is a NEVER Openweight Title match between champion Hirooki Goto and challenger Kota Ibushi.
